Gucci The Artisans Corner was an fun event where 3 artisans from Florence were present at Gucci’s flagship store on Orchard Road, Singapore to showcase the Florentine craftsmanship in assembling the luxury label’s most iconic bags.
The Artisans Corner display consisted of three workstations and featured a sewing machine, dye and coating materials for bamboo handles, embossed calligraphy stamps and other metal tools of the trade. The Artisans demonstrated the various stages of the production process from the processing of the bamboo handles to the treating of the leathers and exotic skins used for the body of the iconic Gucci bags. An artisan was also on hand to showcase the skill of hand embossment of initials (in gold or silver) to personalize an exquisite Gucci bag. The artisans chatted openly with invited guests and were more than gracious in answering all the questions presented upon them.
Below are some pictures I managed to capture on the night. I was also pretty chuffed at being able to get a photo with Leonardo, one of the Artisans from Florence who was quite charming and ever-so-friendly in explaining the process that he takes in processing the bamboo handles in his exquisite craftsmanship.
In this post I am wearing Sass & bide dress from Spring/Summer 2013 collection.
I love House of harlow.
I love it for the bohemian chic that is Nicole Richie. Her style is always so effortless cool that it is no wonder that girls all around the world will always try to emulate her look.
Here are a few of my favorites from her latest House of Harlow 1960 collection. They are all so stylish and versatile that I just can’t help loving them all !
All the awesome House of Harlow bracelets above are available instore and online here!
Happy shopping! xoxo
It’s my birthday today! Couldn’t find a more perfect dress to wear than this beautiful lace mini shift dress by designer Kindred. This dress combines two of my favourite things – its lace and I love white dresses! Had a wonderful lunch with the family and having a great day so far!
VINTAGE – I love all things vintage. This includes vintage cars.
Pictured here at the Little Olde Gallery in Singapore, this vintage convertible 1960s MG Midget sports car is one beauty worth admiring. The owner used to drive it around the streets of Singapore but now he tells me he keeps it in his garage as a treasured piece. They sure do not make cars like these anymore.
I am wearing embroidered mini dress from Sass & Bide’s current Spring/Summer 2014 Freetown collection. I love the floral embroidery which gives the minidress a bit of a vintage feel, mixed with gold metal at the bodice to ‘rock it up’ a bit.

Recently, its was my little man’s 5th birthday!
We celebrated with a pirate-ship style party at the Port of Lost Wonder (POLW) at Sentosa in Singapore. The POLW caters for amazing birthday parties for kids of all ages. My little man also had an awesome spiderman cake which was lovingly baked by my friend May (www.seraphinacakes.wordpress.com). Tonnes of fun was had by both kids and adults!
Here are some pictures from the party:
